Last week’s Wildlife Walk which was held on 1/08/2015 in Pembrey Burrows, was a relatively simple walk if you don’t mind walking on sand and on the beach. We were rather lucky with the weather as it stayed dry with light and short period of showers lasting no more than five minutes at times. In total there were eight of us who attended the walk which lasted for about two hours. We walked along the footpaths and across the beach where we came across plenty of butterflies and beautiful sights along the beach watching the fishermen out on their boats in the sea. The walk had ended earlier than anticipated, therefore we went exploring to discover a pond where we saw a beautiful blue dragonfly and birds drinking from the pond. If you would like to join one of our walks in the local area, go on to our website at http://www.waleswildlifewatch.org.uk/ and there’s a calendar list of all our walks. Also visit our Facebook page (Wales Wildlife Watch & Carmarthenshire Wildlife Walks) where you can view our pictures, events, posted articles and contact us.
