Residents are being asked to contribute to a review of Carmarthenshireās licensing and gambling policies.
Carmarthenshire County Council has launched two consultations to seek peopleās views and opinions across a range of issues that may be affected by the policies.
Members of the public, licensees, businesses and organisations are all being given the chance to have their say.
The consultation runs until September 13, after which the policies will be reviewed and presented to Full Council for approval in December.
Questionnaires can be completed online.
The licensing consultation asks people about their local area – whether they have any concerns about drinking-related anti-social behaviour, violence, littering or nuisance – as well as seeking peopleās views about special measures that limit the impact of licensing in certain areas, such as a ācumulative impact policyā currently in place at Llanelliās Station Road, and identified āhot spotsā where licensees must take extra measures to avoid alcohol related crime and disorder.
The gambling consultation asks if people are aware of any problems that have occurred as a result of gambling premises being located near sensitive buildings such as schools and childrenās play areas, or problems linked to gaming machines.
Cllr Jim Jones, Executive Board Member for Public Protection, said: āThere is a fine balance to strike between supporting a good night time economy and ensuring that it does not have a negative impact on the local community.
āHearing peopleās views and experiences will help us ensure the licensing and gambling policies are fit for purpose, and Iād encourage people to spend just a few minutes on giving us their feedback.ā
