A fascinating insight into the work of Pembrokeshire Archives and Local Studies will be provided in its open day on Tuesday, 25th August.
The centre, located at Prendergast in Haverfordwest, will be holding the open day between 11am and 2pm.
“This is a great opportunity to come along and see how we care for and provide access to our County’s written culture, history and heritage,” said David Llewellyn, Archivist for Education and Outreach.
“Visitors will be able to view various items on display, such as old maps, and go behind the scenes to our conservation studio where they can see the conversation processes involved in preserving archives for the future,” he added.
“We will also be running guided tours to our repository block to show where we keep, and how we look after the items in our care.”
The day will also provide the opportunity to see how easy it is to use Pembrokeshire Archives and Local Studies to learn more about our identity, history, culture and heritage through the extensive original and published sources held there.
Entry to the open day is free. For more details please view:
