Neath Port Talbot will be packed with events this summer bank holiday with activities across the county borough for all ages.

The weekend of activities will get off to a flying start with the International Bat Night at Margam Country Park on Saturday the 29th August. For just £3 visitors can get up close and personal with Margam’s battiest residents and see how they have made their home in the iconic castle.

On Bank Holiday Monday 31st, August Cefn Coed Colliery Museum will be showing off some fantastic models, model trains that is. The Model Railway club will be firing up their large display and visitors welcome to go along and marvel at the scale replica of the Dulais Valley. Alongside the display, there will be a vintage fair for visitors who want to indulge in some retail therapy.

Alongside this, Margam Country Park will become a treasure island for one day only. The ‘Pirates on Parade’ Family Fun Day will see the grounds come alive to sea shanties with fun for all the family. Tickets cost just £7.50 for adults, £5.00 for children and concessions and £24.00 for families. Visitors are encouraged to wear their best pirate gear!
