A new business has opened up in Carmarthen market.
Cadno Gifts sells ethnic clothing, jewellery, gifts and accessories.
The business is owned by Amanda Fox from Burry Port. Amanda said: “I called the business Cadno as it is Welsh word for Fox which is my surname.”
The business, which has recently opened up in the indoor market, stocks goods from Nepal and supports Fair Trade.
“I used to go around craft fayres and worked from home but this is the first time that I’ve had a base. I like the feel of Carmarthen market and I feel my stall fits in well here. It’s going really well and I’m already seeing returning customers,” said Amanda.
Cadno offers free home deliveries between Carmarthen and Burry Port and 10 per cent discount for students.
Carmarthenshire County Council’s executive board member responsible for markets, Cllr David Jenkins said: “It’s great to see new businesses opening up, complementing existing traders in the market and offering further choice to shoppers.
“I wish Amanda and her business all the best for the future.”
Cadno Gifts is open Tuesday-Saturday.
If you are interested in becoming a trader, Carmarthen Market currently has a vacancy. The closing date for applications for tender is midday, Tuesday, September 8.
