Public consultation is about to start on Pembrokeshire County Council’s proposal to establish a new primary school for the Angle peninsula.
The County Council is proposing to discontinue Angle VC School, Orielton CP School and Stackpole VC School and establish a new voluntary controlled school for children aged 3 to 11.
A consultation document and response form will be available on the County Council’s website from Thursday, 3rd September, at: www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/haveyoursay
The closing date for responses is Friday, 16th October 2015.
There will also be a public information session at Pembroke Town Hall on Monday, 28th September from 6.30pm to 8pm.
Kate Evan-Hughes, Director for Children and Schools, will give a presentation on the proposal, to be followed by a question and answer session.
Parents, teachers, and other local residents are invited to come and give their views.
The County Council’s proposal for a new school follows preliminary consultation on multiple options for education for the Angle peninsula.
The findings of the statutory consultation will be considered by County Council before they make a decision.
