Scarlets are pleased to confirm that the region will continue its sponsorship of Llanelli & District Rugby Supporters Cup for the second consecutive season.
Scarlets’ ethos of developing talented young players continues to flourish with Ryan Elias, Daniel Jones and Tom Phillips amongst the next generation of local boys offered regional development contracts.
The community clubs in West Wales play a vital part in the development of local young players with competitions like Llanelli & District Rugby Supporters Cup a breeding ground for talented youngsters.
Earlier this month the draw for the Preliminary and First Rounds of the Llanelli & District Rugby Supporters Cup was made at the District’s AGM at Parc y Scarlets.
District Chairman Anthony Roberts said; “As a District we are fortunate to have the continued support of Llanelli & District Rugby Supporters Club as well as the Scarlets, who are sponsoring the league competitions again this year.
“The inaugural Cup Finals Day at Parc y Scarlets at the end of last season was a big success and we hope it will generate interest in 2nd XV rugby.”
