Scarlets have today issued a medical update as the players and coaching staff prepare for the opening clash of the 2015-16 Guinness PRO12 campaign against Glasgow Warriors on Saturday 5th September, kick-off 5.15pm.
Harry Robinson
Top try scoring winger Harry Robinson underwent surgery to a significant neck injury at the end of the last season. Heās on the road to recovery and is following his rehabilitation programme. Robinson is expected to make a return in Octboer.
Jordan Williams
The fullback / winger underwent successful elective shoulder surgery at the end of last season. He is back in non-contact training and is expected to make a return later this month.
Steffan Hughes
Former Wales Under 20s captain Steffan Hughes underwent knee reconstruction surgery in January after an injury sustained playing for Llanelli RFC. He is ahead of schedule and is targeting a return in December.
Josh Lewis
Outside half Lewis underwent knee reconstruction surgery; he is continuing to progress well and is on course to return in October.
Wyn Jones
Loosehead prop Jones sustained a knee injury during pre-season training. Having undergone corrective knee surgery the Llandovery product is now back running and is expected to make a return later this month.
Rhodri Jones
The Welsh international prop suffered a torn pec during World Cup training. He is following a rehabilitation programme at Parc y Scarlets and is expected to make a return in November.
Will Boyde
Scarletsā young flanker Will Boyde suffered medial ligament damage to his knee at the regionās friendly against the Dragons in August. He is expected to make a return to play in October.
Michael Tagicakibau
Winger Tagicakibau suffered an ankle injury during pre-season training and will undergo a late fitness test later this week to determine his fitness ahead of Scarletsā Guinness PRO12 opener against Glasgow on Saturday.
Phil John
A calf strain has kept John out of the regionās pre-season friendlies. Like Tagicakibau he will undergo a late fitness test later this week to determine his fitness ahead of Scarletsā Guinness PRO12 opener against Glasgow on Saturday.
