Over 400 people attended this year’s Big Day Out in Milford Haven, organised by Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Housing.

The event, involving tenants and staff of both organisations, provided a free activity packed day which included craft workshops, bird-box making, balloon modelling and play sessions.

Staff and volunteers from a range of agencies were on hand at the town’s leisure centre to provide information and guidance on a number of topical issues including Universal Credit and debt advice.

Comments from tenants on the event included: ‘’a free, enjoyable and eventful day for all’; ‘children thoroughly enjoyed the day’ and ‘fantastically organised, children smiled all day’.

Sue Rogers, Chairman of the Pembrokeshire Housing Tenants Panel said: “It was wonderful to see everyone having such a good time and we would love to get more tenants involved next year to make it even bigger and better”.
