Public service providers across mid and south west Wales have got together to seek people’s views on the fairness of life today.
Bodies in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys are asking members of the public for their views in a bid to determine their equality priorities.
The survey will cover issues of Race, Sex, Age, Religion and Belief, Disability, Sexual Orientation, Pregnancy and Maternity, Gender reassignment and Partnership status.
The work is being undertaken as part of the development of Strategic Equality Plans 2016 – 2020, which each public service provider is required to do under the Equality Act 2010.
Strategic Equality Plans are important documents aimed at eliminating discrimination, advancing equality of opportunity and promoting good relations between people.
The organisations involved include – Carmarthenshire County Council, Hywel Dda University Health Board, Ceredigion County Council, Powys Teaching Health Board, Pembrokeshire County Council, Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service, Powys County Council Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust, Dyfed Powys Police and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
Members of the public can give their views to any of these public service providers by completing an online form, which is available on each organisation’s website.
