Police appeal for information following a robbery in Pembroke Dock Memorial Park

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 11.25am this morning, Wednesday 23rd September, near the cycle path at the top of Memorial Park, Pembroke Dock.

An elderly lady, walking her dog, a jack russell, had her handbag stolen during the incident and she received injuries which has required hospital treatment.

The suspect is described as a young male, of slim build and wearing a blue jacket/jumper with a hood.He is believed to have made off towards Bush Street.

The handbag is described as black in colour with a long strap.

Police are investigating all lines of enquiry to catch this offender as swiftly as possible and are supporting the victim.

In addition to the investigation, extra patrols will be carried out in the area to provide reassurance to people living and working in the area.

Detective Inspector Carl Roach said: “Incidents of this nature are rare in Pembroke Dock, a number of officers are involved in carrying out a thorough investigation in order to catch the offender. I would ask people living in the area to check their gardens just in case the handbag has been thrown in.

I urge anyone who has information about this incident to please contact police immediately”
