News that the busy Carmarthen Morfa Lane roundabout is to be resurfaced has been welcomed by local councillor Alan Speake.
He said: “It is really good news that this section of this exceptionally busy local road network is being resurfaced.”
The roundabout will be temporarily closed for the works from its junction with B&Q roundabout to its junction with Blue Street roundabout.
The closure is necessary for Carmarthenshire County Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction works from Monday, October 5, for five days, between 8pm and 6am overnight each each day.
The alternative route for east bound traffic will be via the A40, Pensarn A40, A484, Coracle Way, Blue Street, Lammas Street and Morfa Lane.
The alternative route for West bound traffic will be via A4242, Coracle Way, A484, A40, Pensarn, A40.
Diversions will be well signposted.
