With traditional gym inductions proving daunting for many, customers are being invited to have a CWTSH – 1-2-1 sessions with Active Swansea instructors who’ll focus on Commitment; Workout; Targets; Support; Health – to tailor an exercise programme to suit an individual’s needs.
The CWTSH sessions are the latest initiative to encourage people to take up fitness sessions at their local gym – and keep going for the long-term gains.
Cllr Mark Child, Cabinet Member for Wellbeing and Healthy City, said: “One of the things all gym newbies experience is the daunting feeling of something new.
“It can be off-putting which is why we’ve introduced the CWTSH. One of the council’s top priorities is to encourage people to live active lives with a combination of exercise and good diet.
“A CWTSH in the first weeks will definitely help encourage people to stay in it for the long-term.”
Existing customer also have the opportunity to review their programme and sign up for a CWTSH.
The five Active Swansea leisure and sports centres are situated in Penlan, Penyrheol, Morriston, Cefn Hengoed and Bishopston.
