Jahméne Douglas has now been confirmed as a special guest in the event at St Helen’s on Thursday November 5.

Jahméne, now 24, finished runner-up to James Arthur in X Factor 2012. His debut album, Love Never Fails, entered the UK album chart at number one.

His second album, Down for Love, is being released on Friday November 6.

Swansea Council is behind the event. It will also feature spectacular fireworks, walkabout entertainers and live music from other special guests.

The gates for the event open at 5.30pm, with entertainment starting from 6pm and the fireworks starting from 7.30pm.

Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “X Factor is a hugely popular programme, so I’m sure local fans will be delighted to hear that Jahméne Douglas is performing right here in Swansea during one of the biggest nights of entertainment on our annual calendar. We’ll also be announcing another live act over coming days, so I’d encourage people to book their tickets as soon as possible. It’s sure to be yet another Bonfire Night to remember at St Helen’s as we build up to the Christmas festivities.”

Steve Barnes, Senior Programmer for The Wave and Swansea Sound, said: “We’re extremely proud to be working with Swansea Council on this great event and to be bringing a top artist to Swansea.”
