Scarlets have today issued a medical update ahead of Friday evening’s Guinness PRO12 clash against Munster at Parc y Scarlets.

Morgan Allen 
Number 8 Allen suffered a ruptured bicep during a contact training session ahead of Scarlets’ opening PRO12 clash against Glasgow. He is making good progress and expected to make a return before the end of the year.

Will Boyde
Scarlets’ young flanker Will Boyde suffered medial ligament damage to his knee and foot at the region’s friendly against the Dragons in August. Following complex surgery to his foot the flanker is expected to be out for up to 16 weeks.

Steffan Evans
Fullback Evans has suffered a dislocation to his left elbow and is likely to be sidelined for up to 10 weeks.

Steffan Hughes
Former Wales Under 20s captain Steffan Hughes underwent knee reconstruction surgery in January after an injury sustained playing for Llanelli RFC. He is ahead of schedule and is targeting a return at the end of November.

Rhodri Jones
The Welsh international prop suffered a torn pec during World Cup training. He is back in non-contact training and is expected to make a return in November.

Josh Macleod
Scarlets development player Josh Macleod suffered a broken ankle in Llanelli’s clash against Carmarthen Quins. He has undergone reconstructive surgery and is expected to make a return in February.

Jack Payne
Australian forward Payne suffered an ankle injury in Llanelli RFC’s defeat to Pontypridd last week and went under the knife on Tuesday 15th September.

Rory Pitman
Number 8 Rory Pitman suffered a ruptured bicep (left arm) whilst representing Llanelli RFC against Bridgend. He has undergone surgery and is likely to be sidelined until the New Year.

Aaron Shingler
Flanker Shingler suffered a bang to the head in Scarlets’ PRO12 victory over Leinster. He is currently following concussion return to play protocols.

Michael Tagicakibau
Winger Tagicakibau pulled a hamstring in the Guinness PRO12 clash against Zebre and will be out for up to 4 weeks.

Liam Williams
Fullback Williams has undergone re-surgery on a metatarsal fracture in his foot. He is expected to make a return to action in January.

Scott Williams
Williams suffered a knee injury in Wales’ victory over England in the Rugby World Cup. He is endeavouring to make a return to action by the end of the season.
