Pupils at Stackpole VC School recently enjoyed an exciting Autumnal activity, run by the National Park Discovery Team, followed by an apple pressing session at the School’s After School Club!
The children walked from Stackpole VC School to the Stackpole Estate where they were met by the Discovery Team from the National Park.
The pupils were then treated to an exciting session looking at the busy world of nature and exploring the science of habitats and adaptation.
Later that day Stackpole VC School After School Club were thrilled to be able to host an apple pressing session, delivered again by the National Park.
Stackpole VC School Base Leader Mrs Sandra Bryant commented on the success of the day: “What an amazing learning experience for our pupils. Being able to walk to the Stackpole Estate on such a fabulous Autumn morning made the trip so much more meaningful as we were surrounded by nature from the outset.
“The Autumn theme then continued with a fantastic apple pressing session at our After School Club. It was wonderful to watch the pupil’s delight as they tasted freshly pressed apple juice which they made using traditional methods.
“I’d just like to add a huge thank you from all the pupils at Stackpole VC School to the National Park for delivering such exciting, educational experiences right on our doorstep!”
