Pembrokeshire County Council is reminding householders that it has recently introduced two day closures at its six Civic Amenity and Recycling Centres.
Throughout the winter months – October through to the end of March – three of the sites open on the days when the remainder are closed.
And, according to the Council Cabinet Member for Environmental and Regulatory Services, Huw George, early indications are that most residents are aware of, and adhering to, the new opening times.
Councillor George went on: “However, there have been a couple of fly-tipping incidents that have taken place outside the entrance gates while some of the sites have been closed.
“These are currently being investigated via the CCTV cameras we have located at all of our Civic Amenity sites and we will be taking action against the perpetrators.
“The public should be aware that fly- tipping carries a maximum fine £50,000 and/or a prison sentence.”
