The man who died in the fatal road traffic collision on the M4 motorway outside Cardiff on Monday 2nd November has been named as Michael Coleman, 50, from Betws near Ammanford.
Mr Coleman died when his vehicle, a Kato crane was involved in a collision with a Mercedes HGV tanker and a Citroen Picasso.
Michael’s family have released the following tribute to him:
“On the 2nd November, Michael Colman beloved partner of Wendy sadly passed away. Mike was an absolute pleasure to have in your life and leaves behind his heartbroken mam, his wonderful children, step children, brothers, sisters, grand children , nieces and nephews.
“To know mike was a ray of sunshine in your life. He proudly served 22 years for his country with the Royal Engineers.
“Mike spent many hours of pleasure sharing his nature photography online and across the world. He will be missed by his faithful dog Dylan. Mike will be greatly missed.”
A 46 year old man, the driver of the tanker, was arrested following the incident and has been released on police bail.
South Wales Police Roads Policing Department is appealing for witnesses to the collision or the manner of driving of the Mercedes HGV tanker prior to the collision to contact them via 101 quoting reference 1500407145.
