WRW, one of the leading construction and development companies in Wales and a long-time sponsor of Scarlets Rugby, have been announced as Scarlets Premiership Select main shirt sponsor for the upcoming British & Irish Cup competition.

The new-look British & Irish Cup competition, which will feature regional Premiership Select sides for the first time, gets underway this weekend with Scarlets PS taking on Bedford Blues at Carmarthen Park on Sunday 15th November, kick-off 3.00pm.

WRW, founded by current Group Chairman Robert Williams MBE and Group Director Debbie Williams in 1985, has grown organically, playing an instrumental role in three decades worth of development in the construction industry.

Proud of their roots in West Wales, WRW’s values mirror those of the Scarlets and their progressive outlook and ambition makes them the perfect fit to support the region’s developing Premiership Select side who take on Bedford Blues, Bristol and Ulster Ravens in the cross border competition.

The British & Irish Cup was officially launched today, Wednesday 11th November, at a star-studded event at the National Centre of Excellence, attended by special guests including WRU Chief Executive Officer Martyn Phillips, UK Sports Minister Tracey Crouch and Deputy Minister for Sport in Wales, Ken Skates.

Jon Williams, WRW Business Development Director speaking at today’s launch said: “The business has developed a great deal over the past 30 years to become one of Wales’ leading construction companies.  While the business has grown in that time to now deliver projects through the whole of Wales and Southern England, we are proud of where we’ve come from and particularly proud to be continuing our support of the Scarlets.

“WRW has always taken great pride in continually investing and developing its team to remain at the forefront of the industry.  In the same way, this exciting new competition is a fantastic opportunity for us to support the next generation of talent emerging through the ranks at the Scarlets.  With the region enjoying such a great start to the season we are all the more excited to see what West Wales has to offer to the future of Welsh rugby.”

Scarlets Commercial Manager Rhys Thomas said: “On behalf of the Scarlets I’d like to thank WRW for their continued support of the Scarlets. They have been a part of the Scarlets family for more than a decade and their support of this new-look competition will ensure that we see Scarlets’ next generation flourish on the regional stage.”
