Santa and his elves are en route to Llanelli’s North Dock after leaving Lapland to spread Christmas cheer.
It will be festive fun all the way as bearded St Nick and his helpers arrive at his grotto in the Discovery Centre on Saturday, November 21.
Decked out with snowing trees, a singing Christmas tree and a frosty penguin scene the grotto is guaranteed to light up the brightest of eyes and will open throughout the festive season from 11am-4pm, seven days a week.
Children will get the opportunity to meet red-suited Santa and choose their own gift from a wide selection of toys including fishing ducks, dinosaur figures, speed king trucks, monster girl, princess flip phone, portable guitar, dressing up accessories, challenger figures plus many more. Youngsters will also be given the chance to write their wish letter with Santa’s help before posting in the grotto’s express mail box. The elves will make occasional appearances when they are not busy putting together delivery lists.
The council’s executive board member for leisure, Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “This is one of the highlights of the year for children and it’s wonderful to see their eyes light with excitement when they enter the grotto and meet Santa.
“The centre really comes alive during November and December as the festive fun and Christmas cheer takeover.”
A visit costs £4.99 which includes a gift and letter to Santa. Parents can also take their own pictures. A 10 per cent discount is available for group bookings which will need to be booked ahead on 07881648133.
