Carmarthenshire Communities First can now deliver Energy Best Deal sessions to local groups in Communities First areas.

The sessions are free to groups and are available from October 2015 to the end of March 2016. The session was designed by Citizens Advice to:

• make people aware of the savings that can be made by switching fuel providers or negotiating with existing providers
• provide information on different schemes available from energy suppliers and government for people struggling to pay their gas and electricity bills
• Give information on how consumers could save money by using less energy in their homes

The year 2014/2015 saw 943 people take part in the sessions in Wales.

Carmarthenshire County Council executive board member for regeneration and leisure Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “I would urge local groups to take advantage of these sessions. People having to manage on a tight budget can really benefit from the advice on how to save energy and how to save money on the energy they use.”

If you are a group who would like to take part in an Energy Best Deal workshop then phone Communities First on 01554 777850 for more information and to book your free session.
