Scarlets join famous faces at Celebrate Success Awards

Scarlets’ Hadleigh Parkes and James Davies were guests at The Prince’s Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards at Cardiff City Stadium earlier this week.

Scarlets and The Prince’s Trust Cymru have worked together for a number of years to provide Get Started with Rugby programmes at Parc y Scarlets

The Get Started in Rugby programmes are open to 16-25 year olds, whom are not in education or full time education, and comprise of a variety of activities, final challenge event and a final celebration to recognise their achievement.

Scarlets and Prince’s Trust’s programmes include activities such as coaching sessions, first aid response training and festival organising skills.

The Get Started with Rugby Programme energises young people, helping them gain the confidence and motivation to move forward with their lives, through the specific theme of rugby.

Prince’s Trust’s Celebrate Success Awards shines the spotlight on some of our amazing young people, so that their stories can inspire and motivate others. The awards have become the highlight of Prince’s Trust’s year as an opportunity to pay tribute to the bravery, determination and sheer hard work that our young people demonstrate.

Davies and Parkes were joined on Monday evening by famous faces from all walks of life in Wales in a ceremony hosted by Lisa Rogers.

They were joined at their table by Glamorgan Cricket’s Graham Wagg and Dean Cosker, weather presenter Behnaz Akhgar, TV presenter Rhydian Bowen Phillips, Cardiff City’s Craig Noone as well as Commonwealth Games gold medalist Frankie Jones.
