Indulge yourself in some seasonal Christmas treats at the National Botanic Garden’s popular Christmas Food Fair weekend on December 19 & 20.
The stunning Great Glasshouse is the venue for this celebration of local food and drink and there is certainly something for everyone among the festive offerings in the largest single-span glasshouse on the planet.
Okay, these Christmas crackers may be savoury but they are delicious – guaranteed! And there will be plenty of specialist cheese, chutney, hot chili sauce and a wide range of relishes to put on them.
As well as crackers, also on the Food Fair menu are rare-breed meat, distilled-in-Wales organic spirits, Welsh cider, beer and liqueurs, artisan bread, handmade cakes, pasties, puddings, Belgian chocolate treats, savoury scones, speciality teas, honey and honey fudge, curry kits, brownies, cookies, cured meat and salami.
Why not join in one of our ‘Decorate a Christmas Cup Cake’ family workshops? The children will love it – as much as they will this year’s Santa Show: ‘Tinsel the Tawny Owl’s First Christmas’ starring real live owls!!
The Christmas Food Fair takes place in the National Botanic Garden of Wales on Saturday and Sunday 19 & 20 December from 10am-4.30pm, both days.
Normal Garden admission applies. Tickets for the Santa show in Theatr Botanica are £3 per seat and performances are at 11am, 12 noon, 2pm and 3pm. To book your seat, phone 01558 667149.
There is plenty of free parking at the Garden
