Scarlets have today issued a medical update ahead of Saturday’s European Rugby Champions Cup game against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun Stadium.

Jake Ball
Second row Ball will miss Scarlets’ European Rugby Champions Cup clash this weekend after a slight groin injury sustained in the final minutes of last weekend’s victory over Benetton Treviso in the Guinness PRO12.

John Barclay
Barclay, who has been involved in every Scarlets game this season, will miss the European Rugby Champions Cup clash against his former side Glasgow this due to a shoulder injury.

Will Boyde
Scarlets’ young flanker Will Boyde suffered medial ligament damage to his foot at the region’s friendly against the Dragons in August. Following complex surgery to his foot Scarlets’ young flanker has now started running again is expected to make a return in January.

James Davies
Flanker Davies has undergone surgery on an injury to his fifth metatarsal and has been ruled out of action for up to 12 weeks.

Peter Edwards
Tighthead prop Edwards suffered elbow ligament damage in the European Rugby Champions Cup clash against Racing 92 on 21st November. He has undergone surgery and is expected to be out for up to 12 weeks.

Rob Evans
Loosehead prop Evans will miss Scarlets’ European Rugby Champions Cup clash this weekend due to a stiff neck.

Josh Macleod
Scarlets development player Josh Macleod suffered a broken ankle in Llanelli’s clash against Carmarthen Quins. He has undergone reconstructive surgery, is now out of the protective boot and is expected to make a return ahead of schedule in January.

DTH van der Merwe
Winger van der Merwe will miss Scarlets’ European Rugby Champions Cup clash this weekend due to a thumb injury.

Ken Owens
Captain Owens will miss Scarlets’ European Rugby Champions Cup clash this weekend with a toe injury that has blighted him since the early stages of the Rugby World Cup.

Jack Payne
Australian forward Payne suffered an ankle injury in Llanelli RFC’s defeat to Pontypridd in September. He is making good progress and is expected to return at the end of December.

Rory Pitman
Number 8 Rory Pitman suffered a ruptured bicep (left arm) whilst representing Llanelli RFC against Bridgend. He has undergone surgery and is likely to be sidelined until the New Year.

Aaron Shingler
Flanker Shingler will miss Scarlets’ European Rugby Champions Cup clash this weekend due to back spasms and shoulder strain.

Liam Williams
Fullback Williams has undergone re-surgery on a metatarsal fracture in his foot. He is expected to make a return to action in January.

Scott Williams
Williams suffered a knee injury in Wales’ victory over England in the Rugby World Cup. He is endeavouring to make a return to action by the end of the season.

Tom Williams
Winger Williams pulled up in the pre-game warm up at Parc y Scarlets ahead of the game against Zebre at the end of November with a shoulder strain.
