Shoppers at Carmarthenshire’s Indoor Markets in Carmarthen and Llanelli are picking up cracking gifts every day as well as their shopping!
Traders are running a daily competition throughout December.
If you purchase something in the market you can enter into a daily draw to be in with a chance of winning a gift.
Each day the winning name pulled out at random from the entry box located near the Christmas tree gets the chance to choose a number between one and 24.
A host of familiar faces in Carmarthen and Llanelli have been invited each day to pull the numbered cracker of choice to reveal the gift.
The competition continues every day until December – including Sundays.
Prizes already claimed include a Love Spoon from D Clarke, Engraving and a ladies garment from Tower Boutique, a free haircut and blowdry at Katherine’s Ladies Hair Salon, children’s colouring book set from Cards Are Us and a pair of ladies slippers from D&A Heel Bar and a necklace from Pandora’s Box. Other prizes up for grabs include vouchers, clocks, clothing and more!
The indoor markets boast a range of Christmas gifts and clothing, cards, wrapping paper and much more.
The council’s executive board member responsible for the markets, Cllr David Jenkins, said: “The competition is already proving popular and the number of entries is growing each day as shoppers get to hear about it. Make sure you’re in with a chance of winning a gift by shopping at our market in the run up to Christmas.”
Don’t forget that Carmarthen and Llanelli Indoor Markets are open on Sunday, December 13 and 20.
