Family history starter packs, leisure centre vouchers and tea towels featuring local castles are among the Christmas gift ideas available at Swansea Council attractions across the city.
Swansea Museum, Dylan Thomas Centre, West Glamorgan Archive Service, Plantasia, Active Swansea leisure centres, Swansea Grand Theatre and Swansea Tourist Information Centre are among the attractions where stocking fillers and presents are filling up shelves.
Other gift ideas available at the venues include Christmas themed fragrances, local Christmas cards, local history books, rubber dinosaurs, insect keyrings and bracelets, comedy club tickets and Dylan Thomas books, CDs and DVDs.
Soft toys, scented candles and local jams, chutneys, shortbread and fudge are also available.
“As well as our fantastic shops and market stalls across the city, our council attractions also have some terrific gift ideas,” said Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration. “Our venues are great places not just to have fun, but also to browse for presents and stocking fillers in the build-up to Christmas as well.”
Both £5 and £10 gift vouchers are available from all Active Swansea leisure centres that can be used on fitness classes, swimming, badminton, tennis, gym memberships and other activities.
Dedication plaques, theatre club memberships and complete recordings of last year’s Dylathon event are available at the Grand Theatre.
Mugs, coasters, magnets and purses are among the other gift ideas for people to peruse.
Some of the council venues are open until midday on Christmas Eve and many are open between Christmas and New Year.
