Tickets are selling fast for two Christmas concerts at Swansea’s Brangwyn Hall.
Handel’s Messiah takes place on Saturday December 19 at 7pm, with the Christmas Candlelight concert being held at 7.30pm on Wednesday December 23.
The Messiah concert will be conducted by James Davies and accompanied by organist William Reynolds, harpsichordist David Ponsford, soprano Angharad Morgan, mezzo soprano Sioned Gwen Davies, tenor David Fortey and baritone Adam Gilbert.
Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “The Christmas concerts at the Brangwyn Hall are always magical events that generate a terrific festive atmosphere in the build-up to Christmas.
“They’re a key part of our Christmas programme of events in Swansea, but their popularity means tickets are selling fast. This is why I’d urge anyone who’s interested to get their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
The Christmas Candlelight concert is made up of a number of seasonal melodies. Lit by candlelight, the concert will be conducted by Alwyn Humphries and will feature soloist Ros Evans and the Chamber Orchestra of Wales and Chorale.
