Waterfront Winterland is open nearly every day until it finishes for the festive season on January 3.

Christmas Day is the only day the Museum Park attraction will be closed over the holiday period.

The opening hours are:

* Wednesday December 23 from 10am to 10pm
* Christmas Eve from 10am to 7pm
* Boxing Day from noon to 7pm
* Sunday December 27 from 10am to 10pm
* Monday December 28, Tuesday December 29, Wednesday December 30 and New Year’s Eve from 10am to 10pm
* New Year’s Day from noon to 7pm
* Saturday January 2 and Sunday January 3 from 10am to 10pm

Waterfront Winterland features a big wheel, the Admiral ice rink, a children’s ice rink, a family funfair and a selection of food and drink at alpine-style dining cabins. Also available is a ride called No Limit that reaches a height of 24 metres and gives 16 thrill-seekers at a time a g-force experience through 360 degrees.

Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “Waterfront Winterland has now been an important part of our Christmas activities for a number of years.

“Many thousands of people have already visited, but there are plenty more opportunities to try the ice skating, the big wheel and the other attractions until the start of the New Year. The opening hours between now and January 3 mean there’s a chance for thousands more residents and visitors to make the most of the fun because it’s a traditionally a time when parents will have some free time to enjoy with their children.

“Waterfront Winterland is the perfect place to celebrate Christmas and the New Year in Swansea.”
