Delays are expected this Friday at Pontargothi Bridge due to essential works being carried out.
Drivers are being urged to use an alternative route if possible.
Large trees, which have collected in the arches, are being removed from the river using large machinery.
The works will start after the morning rush hour at around 9.30am and will be completed by approximately 2pm.
Men will be situated at Nantgaredig crossroads and Dryslwyn to warn drivers of the delay and to advise on an alternative route.
Dyfed-Powys Police will also be on site to assist.
