There is a weekend of food, glorious food at the National Botanic Garden of Wales January 23-24.
A mouth-watering array of local producers will be showcasing their food and drink in the stunning surrounds of Lord Foster’s Great Glasshouse for two days of tempting, tasty treats.
From home-made faggots to freshly-made artisan bread; local lamb, beef and pork; chili sauces, cheese; beer, brownies; pasties and puddings – there’s something to suit all tastes.
Head of marketing at the Garden, David Hardy said: “Our visitors are always keen to support local producers because they know their food and drink is top quality. We also know that low ‘food miles’ is good for freshness and better for the environment; and that backing local businesses is a great way to support the local economy.
“With a hugely discounted entry fee of £3 per person it really is the perfect opportunity, too, to take a stroll around the Garden, maybe explore the tranquil walks around the lakes and take a look at the early spring flowers – snowdrops, daffs and hellebores. Could there be a better way to spend your weekend?”
Admission to the Garden and the Food Fair is just £3 per person. Entry to the Garden Monday-to-Friday in January is free.
Entry is always FREE for Garden members and parking is FREE for all.
The Garden is open 10am to 4.30pm and last entry is at 3.30pm.
