CETMA, a volunteer led social enterprise based in Llanelli has been awarded £4090 courtesy of the Big Lottery’s Awards for All Wales grant.
The project will involve engaging with the LGBT community, increasing volunteers and training people in new skills.
Keith Evans, a CETMA Project Manager said:
“We’re very grateful to Awards for All Wales for the funding and this builds on the success we had last year of organising Llanelli’s first ever LGBT Day.”
“This grant award will allow us to help the Llanelli LGBT community to:
- learn how to engage with and record LGBT community problems and successes.
- Help LGBT communities to address their problems and interact with the community
- challenge the perspectives given through more traditional media.”
The Project aims to set up a regular drop in session for LGBTs, give Llanelli LGBTs the ability to comment via all platforms, increase LGBT community participation, and publicise Llanelli LGBT Support via attendance at events.
