The NSPCC’s Wales Appeal Board are set to stage a special lunch to raise much needed funds for the charity’s work with children and young people before the RSB 6 Nations Wales v. France match in Cardiff.

The event will take place at the Mercre Holland House Hotel on Friday 26 February at 2.30pm and guests can look forward to a drinks reception, three course meal and entertainment from some very special guests including a special rugby Q & A session with J J Williams MBE and Sir Gareth Edwards CBE. The event will finish in time for guests to make their way into Cardiff to watch the game.

Money raised through the event will help to fund NSPCC services such as its School Service which delivers safeguarding assemblies and workshops to 9-11 year olds in primary schools in and across the UK. The age-appropriate sessions help the children to understand what abuse is and how to get help if they need it.

An NSPCC spokesperson, said: “We want local people to join us in our fight for every childhood, and by coming along and showing your support at this event you can help the charity continue its life-changing work with children and young people. We are extremely grateful to the event organisers for their efforts.”

Tickets for the lunch are £70 per head and a table of 10 is £700. Tickets for the match are not included. For further information about attending the event contact The Wales Appeal Team on 029 2010 3188 or walesappeals@nspcc.org.uk
