Police investigate St Clears burglaries

Police in St Clears are investigating a spate of burglaries that occurred at five business premises in the early hours of Wednesday, January 20.

Five burglaries and two attempted burglaries happened between 1-5.30am in the Cross Roads area.

Money, cigarettes, tools and a bottle of champagne were stolen.

Detective Inspector Jayne Butler said: “Police officers are following all lines of enquiry to find those who committed these offences.

“Extra police patrols are being carried out in the area and crime prevention advice has been offered to the owners of the premises affected.

“I urge anyone with information to contact Carmarthen CID immediately by calling 101.”

Anyone who witnessed any of these incidents or has information is urged to call Carmarthen CID on 101.
