Work is to take place at Sandy roundabout in Llanelli next week.
The precautionary surface treatment will be carried out by specialist contractors engaged by Carmarthenshire County Council, and will take place on Monday, January 25.
The work is expected to take around four hours and will start after 6pm in order to keep any disruption to a minimum.
Drivers continue to be urged to take care at the site following recent incidents where vehicles have skidded.
Environment Executive Board Member Cllr Hazel Evans said: “The latest incident at the site is being investigated.
“The roundabout can get busy at peak times and when combined with the current prolonged spell of bad weather, drivers are advised to take caution on the roads.
“The County Council will be undertaking precautionary surface treatment work at this specific location on Monday January 25.
“We apologise for any inconvenience whilst the work is carried out.”
