Travel Writer Hannah Engelkamp and travel film maker Rhys Thwaites Jones continue their series of adventure travel film nights at Ceredigion Museum with a showing of Karun and Operation Moffat.
Karun is a film about two British adventurers as they travel and explore Iran’s longest river, the Karun. But they find that cultural differences run deeper than they’d realised and the once-calm waters of the Karun turn nasty.
Operation Moffat takes inspiration and wit from the colourful climbing life of Britain’s first female mountain guide, Gwen Moffat. Grappling with her preference for mountains over people, adventure over security, wilderness over tick lists, writer Claire Carter and Jen Randall climb, run, scramble and swim their way through some of Gwen’s most cherished British landscapes.
Join Ceredigion Museum staff for an exciting evening of adventure film, with a question and answer session with Rhys Thwaites Jones, and presenter Tom Allen of Karun, and director of Operation Moffat Claire Carter in conversation with Hannah Engelkamp for what promises to be an evening full of exhilarating film moments.
Karun and Operation Moffat with Q&A from the presenter Tom Allen (Kuran), and also Claire Carter (Operation Moffat), takes place on Friday 12 February at 7pm, admission costs £7 with concession £6.
