Pembrokeshire County Council is asking the public for their views on a draft Renewable Energy Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG).
The consultation is open between the 24th February and 11th April 2016.
Copies of the document are available on the Council’s website and in paper format at local libraries and contact centres.
The document provides guidance on the way in which the Renewable Energy policy in the Council’s adopted Local Development Plan (LDP) will be implemented.
This draft SPG document elaborates on Pembrokeshire County Council’s policy approach to renewable energy. It focuses on solar, wind and biomass energy proposals, but also provides advice applicable to other renewable energy technologies.
The SPG will guide applicants and agents regarding information requirements at pre-application and application stages.
It will assist case officers and committee members in making informed decisions on renewable energy applications. This ensures that benefits arising from renewable energy generation are balanced against impacts on local communities and the environment.
If you wish to comment on the draft SPG, a consultation form has been provided and is available at www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/haveyoursay.
Responses by e-mail can be sent to ldp@pembrokeshire.gov.uk or write to Development Plans, County Hall, Haverfordwest, SA61 1TP.
Any enquiries should be directed to the Development Plans Team.
All comments must be received by 5pm on 11th April 2016.
