Over the Christmas and New Year period, Pembrokeshire County Council Chairman, Wynne Evans, braved icy seas with hundreds of others to take part in sponsored swims at Tenby and Saundersfoot to raise money for his nominated charities.

Councillor Evans has already presented cheques to the Air Ambulance and the HOPE and on Thursday it was the turn of the British Heart Foundation to receive their donation.

Ralph and Venetia Dunbar from the Narberth branch of the Foundation gratefully received a cheque from Councillor Evans for £229.84.
