Parents and householders in Milford Haven are to be consulted on ways to improve primary provision in the town.
The review centres on three schools:
- Meads Nursery and Infants
- Milford Haven Juniors
- and St Francis RC
Issues for debate include over-crowding, lack of Welsh-medium provision and the infant to junior split – Milford being one of the few remaining towns in the County with separate infant and junior schools
Pembrokeshire County Council is keen to hear the views and ideas of parents and the wider community on how to tackle these problems and any other matters relating to the three schools.
With this in mind, the Council has compiled a document outlining current provision and putting forward some initial ideas for debate.
From Monday, 22nd February until Friday, 1st April, the document and a response form will be available at: www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/haveyoursay
In addition, the Authority is also organising a public meeting on Tuesday, 1st March, at Milford Haven Comprehensive school from 6.30 pm to 8 pm.
