Youth workers from Carmarthenshire have been working alongside rangers at Pembrey Country Park.
Weeding, raking and planting are just some of the improvement works the groups have tackled as part of partnership working with Rathbone Training.
The learners visited the park once a fortnight at the end of the summer season and worked on the maintenance projects programme around the campsite and adventure playground areas.
The council’s executive board for leisure, Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “What a wonderful job these learners have done, they really got stuck in. Not only have they gained new skills and experience but they have taken on every challenge they were given and completed them with fantastic results. They can now take this hands on experience which will help support them in a job, a place at college, an apprenticeship or a work placement.”
