Communities First has run a successful event offering useful advice and enjoyable activities for parents and expectant parents.

The event was held at Llanelli Leisure Centre on St. David’s Day and the sessions during the day included language and play, baby massage, sewing workshops, photography workshops, an Energy Best Deal session, feeding and nutrition advice, car seat safety, financial advice, relaxation tasters, a soft play area and much more.

Executive board member for regeneration and leisure Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “I’m delighted that this event has proved so popular.

“It provided a great opportunity for parents and those expecting their first child to pick up all sorts of useful advice on things like good nutrition, keeping down the family’s energy bills, and making sure their baby and children are safe in the car.

“But it was also an enjoyable day with the chance to relax and play with the children or try your hand at photography.”
