Communities First has organised a major event to help people in the Llanelli area access information and keep in touch.
The Stay Connected Event will be held in the Ffwrnes theatre at the end of this month when Communities First will bring a range of organisations such as Age Cymru and the Red Cross together in the one place.
Communities First support assistant Amber Daniels said: “Stay Connected is based on the Five Steps to Wellbeing with workshops on areas representing those steps. These will include iPad sessions, getting access to things online, and learning how to send emails.
“Wellbeing also includes being active so there will be fitness taster sessions throughout the day. We will also cover mental wellbeing, resilience and confidence, and healthy eating.”
The event will also include a sketching workshop, jewellery making and a photography workshop.
Carmarthenshire County Council executive board member for regeneration and leisure Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “I would urge people to take the opportunity to come along to what will be a very useful and enjoyable event.
“It will give people a chance to develop new skills, pick up useful advice and try out new hobbies.
“The Stay Connected event will also have stalls showing people how they can volunteer for different organisations and get involved in the community.”
