People with a learning disability in Pembrokeshire, their carers and families are being invited to ‘What Matters?’ – an event at Milford Haven Leisure Centre on Thursday, 14th April.
The aim of the day is find out what people who have a learning disability and those close to them think about their local services, and what issues matter to them.
It is being organised by Pembrokeshire County Council in partnership with Pembrokeshire People First.
The event will be held between 10am and 3pm and there will be lots of free activities available as well as opportunities to speak to staff.
There will be art, theatre, drama and photo workshops, sport activities in the afternoon and a free lunch for participants.
Organisers will also be showcasing some artwork which people across the County with learning disabilities have made to represent what matters to them.
All the views given on the day will be included in a draft Pembrokeshire Learning Disability Strategy.
Once finalised, the service user-led Pembrokeshire Learning Disability Strategy will be driven forward by the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board.
