Communities First has held a major event to help people in the Llanelli area access information and keep in touch.
The Stay Connected Event in the Ffwrnes theatre brought a range of organisations such as Age Cymru and Llanelli Mind together in the one place.
Stay Connected was based on the Five Steps to Wellbeing with workshops on areas representing those steps including iPad sessions, getting access to things online, and learning how to send emails.
Being active was also a part of wellbeing so there were fitness taster sessions throughout the day. Mental wellbeing, resilience and confidence, and healthy eating were also covered.
The event also included a sketching workshop, jewellery making and a photography workshop.
Communities First volunteer support assistant Amber Daniels said: “Stay Connected was a very successful event. It gave people an opportunity to pick up useful information, and helped them develop the skills needed to go online and keep in touch via email.
“It also gave people the chance to try out new hobbies and to find out how to get more involved in the community. We had stalls showing people how to volunteer for various organisations.”
