Pembrokeshire County Council is consulting on the Character Appraisals and Management Plans for the Conservation Areas of Fishguard, Lower Town Fishguard and Goodwick.

The consultation will run from 14th April to 27th May 2016.

Copies of the documents are available on the Council’s website, under the “Current Consultations” section, and can be viewed online at local libraries and contact centres.

This information can be supplied on CD on request.

You will be able to raise detailed questions with staff at local ‘drop-in’ sessions, to be held at:-

  • Fishguard Town Hall, Market Square, Fishguard SA65 9HE from 10am until 7pm on the 19th April 2016.
  • Fishguard Bay Yacht Club, SA65 9NB, from 4pm until 7pm on Monday 18th April 2016
  • Phoenix Community Centre, Wern Road, Goodwick, SA64 0AA, from 4pm until 7pm Friday 15 April 2016.

The Character Appraisal and Management Plan documents review the character and special interest of the Conservation Areas and review the conservation area boundaries.

The documents will guide residents and owners within the Conservation Areas on design changes to buildings and provide guidance for the management of the Conservation Areas which, over time, can help to support communities and the environment.

If you wish to comment on any of the draft Character Appraisals and Management Plans, a consultation form is available online at Pembrokeshire County Council’s “Current Consultations”.

Please send your response by e-mail to historicenvironment@pembrokeshire.gov.uk or write to Conservation and Development Plans, County Hall, Haverfordwest, SA61 1TP.

All comments must be received by 5pm on 27 May 2016.

All responses received will be summarised, together with any consequential recommendations for change, for consideration by Cabinet, prior to approval.
