Scarlets can today confirm that George Earle and Kirby Myhill will leave the region at the end of the season to join Cardiff Blues.
South African born Earle, 29, joined the Scarlets in 2012 making his competitive debut for the Scarlets against Leinster in the Guinness PRO12 on 1stSeptember that year.
Earle was named Players Player of the Year in his first season at the Scarlets and has gone on to make 94 appearances for the region, thus far.
Kirby Myhill has been a member of the Scarlets senior squad since 2011, having been handed a professional contract following his time in the region’s Academy.
The 24-year-old hooker was named captain of the Wales Under-20 team for the 2012 Six Nations and the Junior World Championship, in which Wales finished 3rd.
Myhill made his senior debut for the Scarlets in a league match at Leinster in March 2011, coming on as a replacement.
Commenting on the news George Earle said: “The Scarlets changed my rugby career and I really found a place where every time I wore the jersey I wanted to represent it with so much pride and admiration.
“I will treasure this place for the rest of my life and I’m truly thankful to Gareth Jenkins and Simon Easterby for bringing me to the Scarlets.”
Kirby Myhill added; “It has been a privilege to represent the Scarlets, a club and region that I’ve supported from a young age. I would like to thank the fans for their continued support and will continue to give my all to the Scarlets as we look to make the play-offs come the end of the season.”
