If you are fed up with the Welsh Assembly then it seems that you are not alone, a new political party has been set up to Abolish the Welsh Assembly.
Local Candidate and former Warrant Officer of the Welsh Guards James Cole wants your vote on 5th May 2016 to Abolish the Welsh Assembly, although he doesn’t want to be a politician, a sentiment echoed by Welsh Rugby International Jeremy Pugh who is standing for the Abolish the Welsh Assembly party in the Mid and West Wales region.
Both James and Jeremy have promised to give half of their Salary to Wales Air Ambulance if elected.
James’s views are that people as well as countries should “pay their way” and that the United Kingdom should not be dragged down by irresponsible actions by Local Government.
“The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) is going nowhere. They have problems that they don’t know the solutions to and they are bankrupting not just in monetary terms but in ideas these people have had their time
“It’s essential that we do not waste our country’s wealth and prosperity and give it away to a feckless Government which haven’t the least idea of formulating a strategy to escape from their problems.”
When you also consider that in the historic 1997 referendum only 1.1 million people took part in the election and of those just about half (559,00) people voted for the inception of the Welsh Assembly there is a strong democratic case to suggest that a great deal of people in Wales do not want the Welsh Assembly, having never voted for it, voted against its creation or as is starting to be seen in more recent years that they voted for it, but now regret it.
James says that “I can say I honestly never wished to have a political life but watching events in this country I could not ideally sit by and watch what was happing to this once great Country of ours.
“I’ am at heart and down to my core being a proud Welshman, and I like millions of others in the UK and Wales am no longer prepared to take the misinformation and will campaign and fight for the people of Wales, and the public at large who I now believe see the total waste of tax money on the Welsh Assembly Government and until we remove the 60 members the Welsh tax payer are paying for!!!!!!
No expenses
“Just for your information as yet we do not have a membership list and all the funding has been supplied by the people standing in my case from my monthly wage. Additionally I have agreed that I will not claim any monies back for our campaign from the tax payer.
“I know that the political elite say things all the time like this but in our case it will be true. Part of my reason for standing is not only the waste by our Government but the lack of trust in them all.
“If you’re not true to yourself can you be true to others?”
James is standing in the Welsh Assembly Elections in the South Wales West Seat, which includes, Swansea (East), Swansea (West), Aberavon, Neath, Bridgend, Ogmore and Gower and would love to have your vote on May 5th if you too would like to abolish the Welsh Assembly.
