Securing an increased majority of 3,930 votes – compared to 2,175 in 2011 – Mr Davies has been re-elected to the Welsh Assembly for the third time to represent Preseli Pembrokeshire, demonstrating his strong track-record of delivery for his constituency.
Following the result, Mr Davies, who has held the seat since 2007, highlighted the issues which most resonated with his constituents.
Mr Davies said:
“Having represented the people of Preseli Pembrokeshire since 2007, it’s a great honour to continue to be a strong voice and fight the issues of my local community.
“Across the constituency, people have been telling me they’ve had enough of inadequate healthcare, of local health services closing and of small businesses going unsupported.
“Enough is enough. The people of Preseli Pembrokeshire deserve so much better. I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that my constituents get a fairer deal and am grateful to each and every person who voted for me. Diolch yn fawr iawn – thank you.”
