Help beat cancer sooner by signing up for Race for Life at Scolton Manor on Sunday, June 19th.

That’s the message from Cancer Research UK who planted 52 flags outside County Hall in Haverfordwest today (Friday).

The 52 flags represent the number of people diagnosed with cancer every day in Wales – only half of whom will survive.

Every year, hundreds of women take part in the 5K event at Scolton Manor to raise money for research into all cancers.

Cllr Simon Hancock, Cabinet Member for Adult Service, Health and Well-being, urged people to sign up for the race, which this year will place on Father’s Day.

“Race for Life is an amazing event which raises crucial funds for Cancer Research,” he said.
