PEOPLE can have a bird’s eye view of the new Ysgol Bro Dinefwr with aerial footage taken of the site.

The film of the £30million school at Ffairfach shows the new building along with its grounds, sports facilities and surrounding countryside.

Bro Dinefwr opened its doors to its first pupils recently with the remainder set to move in this September.

It will cater for 1,200 pupils in the area, including a 200 pupil sixth form and 30 place specialist provision for children with additional learning needs.

Staff and pupils are occupying on a phased basis and it currently houses 140 children plus another 25 in Canolfan Cothi, which is the autistic unit.

The category 2B bilingual school was delivered in partnership with the Welsh Government through its 21st Century Schools programme.

It provides first class accommodation and facilities, plus high quality vocational courses with other Dinefwr schools and Coleg Sir Gar.

Education executive board member Cllr Gareth Jones said: “The film demonstrates the high quality of the building and its facilities, and also the lovely location.

“This is a state of the art school which will benefit thousands of children in the area.”
