At Thursday’s full meeting of Pembrokeshire County Council, elected members supported the continuing success of achieving Blue Flag awards for local beaches.
Part of the award criteria applies to dogs on beaches and to ensure all dog owners are aware of dog restrictions on beaches, full information is available online.
This includes detailed maps for all beaches where dog restrictions apply.

County Councillor Huw George, Cabinet Member for Environmental and Regulatory Services, said: “We welcome responsible dog owners to Pembrokeshire and would urge all dog owners to check the ‘dos and don’ts’ regarding dogs and restrictions on beaches.
“In these financially challenging times, we are supporting the recommendation in a recent RSPCA report calling for an annual dog registration fee scheme for Wales to help fund sustainable dog welfare and control services.”
